In Flames to Celebrate Milestone Anniversaries by Re-Issuing Multiple Albums to Vinyl
Seems like metal’s been taking a long ass trip down memory lane lately, as bands from all over look back over their discography and perform special concerts and release special editions of albums gone by. And while Slipknot may be holding things down in that category right now, that’s not gonna make In Flames and Nuclear Blast ignore their past successes, as they announced earlier today that they’re re-issuing four albums celebrating major milestones this year.
On July 19, special anniversary vinyl re-issues of Lunar Strain, Colony, Soundtrack To Your Escape, and Siren Charms will be available. Each album is celebrating their 30th, 25th, 20th, and 10th anniversaries, respectively. This will also be the first time in a long time that these albums will be available, as they’ve been out of print for quite some time.
The move follows last year’s push to re-issue A Sense of Purpose (2008) (15th Anniversary Edition), Reroute to Remain (2002), Come Clarity (2006), and Sounds of a Playground Fading (2011).
All four re-issues coming this July will feature original artwork “with a few, careful touch-ups.” Each release will also be remastered specifically for vinyl by Justin Shturtz at Sterling Sound Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.
All four re-issues will be available on July 19 via Nuclear Blast Records, but you can pre-order your copies today. The band will also be setting off on their U.S. tour with Gatecreeper and Creeping Death tomorrow. You can find the full list of dates below.
