Full of Hell’s “Coagulated Bliss” Video is 95 Seconds of Middle American Nothingness

0

If you grew up in a quiet rural part of the country, then the next minute and a half or so after you hit play on the Full of Hell video below will be insanely relatable. Growing up somewhere with fuck all to do leads you to see and do things in some desolate locales. You spend a lot of time in the woods, for example.

That’s exactly what’s going on in the “Coagulated Bliss” video. That rural ennui that comes from “the everyday horrors of life in small town America” is central to the album’s theme, according to vocalist Dylan Walker.

“This song is a lyrical summation of the record as a whole. Seeking the unattainable. Drowning in it.”

With this being the album’s title track, guitarist Spencer Hazard said the focus behind the music was to make everything sound massive. It was made to lodge itself in your head after some time.

“Dave [Bland, drums] and I wrote this song with a band like Today is the Day in mind. Noisy guitar and jazzy drums but a riff that gets stuck in your head.”

Coagulated Bliss is set for release on April 26 via Closed Casket Activities, though you can preorder it now. The band’s also going on tour later this month, so be sure to check out the full list of dates below.
