It’s Official: The Summer Slaughter Tour is Back
There have been rumblings for a couple weeks, but it’s finally official: The Summer Slaughter Tour is back.
Earlier today, the tour’s official Instagram page confirmed the return, confidently claiming “we are a dynasty” with Brand of Sacrifice’s track “Dynasty” playing. It’s been five years since The Summer Slaughter Tour last ran, so it should go without saying that people are fucking stoked.
At the moment, we don’t know much else about the tour’s return. No information about who will be playing, nor do we know where the tour will head when things finally get rolling this summer. All we know is that it’s set to run this July and into August through the U.S. and Canada.
Given the tour’s past lineups, there are some exciting possibilities for potential bands to flesh out the bill. Past runs included Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil, Nekrogoblikon, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse… Really the list goes on and on of former Summer Slaughter bands that have since put out new material in recent memory. Any combination of the above bands, combined with some new blood or returning acts, would make for an absolutely insane tour run.
So what do you think about this news? Are you excited to catch whatever The Summer Slaughter tour ends up being this year? Let us know in the comments!
