Fear Factory Want an On-Call Touring Bassist That Can Hold Their Liquor
If you play bass and only occasionally want to live life like a rock star, then the opportunity of a lifetime just cropped up on social media. You see, it looks like Fear Factory‘s looking for someone just like you. With their bassist Tony Campos pulling double duty touring in both Static-X and Fear Factory, the latter industrial metal outfit is seeking help.
According to a Facebook post by the band, they need someone to every once in a while step in to take Campos’ spot. This would only be while Campos is on the road with Static-X, so I wouldn’t misconstrue this as the band looking for a full-time replacement.
Here’s the 12-point list of traits they want in a fill-in temporary touring bassist:
- Plays With A Pick (no fingers)
- Touring Experience
- Up to date Passport
- No criminal record
- No hard drugs
- Not an alcoholic but must be able to walk a straight line after a bottle of tequila (cause Tony can do it)
- Plays well with others
- 5 string bass
- In-ear monitors required for click track.
- USA residence preferred
- Post a video performing “Fuel Injected Suicide Machine”
- Ego is not your Amigo
There’s no information about how you’re supposed to go about telling them you’re interested in the job, so I’d say check out their Facebook page and comment on the post. This could be your one shot.
