Accept Share Title Track for Newly Announced Album Humanoid
German metal greats Accept have a new album coming out on April 26 titled Humanoid and to celebrate that reveal, they released the title track and its accompanying music video.
Set to release through Napalm Records, the album features 11 new tracks and will be available in a number of different formats and vinyl variants. Described as a “ferociously electrifying, dynamic and subtly nuanced platter with tongue in cheek humor,” the album is sure to get long-time fans and newcomers equally excited to check out what’s next.
Following the release of the single, which you can check out below, the band said they focused on the hellscape that is modern technology and its increased focus on artificial intelligence.
“The song plays with the omnipresent topic of artificial intelligence (AI). In a strange way, we have entered exciting times now … this Digital revolution has a huge impact, probably bigger than anything humankind has ever gone through. The Industrial Revolution was huge, but this might be even bigger, and we’re just at the beginning of it. However, I’m also a little afraid that humanity gets lost and pushed aside in all this stuff. The song is pretty impactful and provoking!”
In addition to the band’s new album, they’re going to be heading over to South America for a headlining tour before going back to Europe later this year for another headlining effort. You can find the full list of dates for both runs, as well as their planned festival dates.
