Weekend Nachos Announce New Tour Dates for Spring

Illinois-based powerviolence band Weekend Nachos are back…again. After playing their first show since 2017 this past November at The Metro in Chicago, the band finally announced a new set of tour dates. The tour is being titled “We Felt Like Playing Shows Again,” which is the kind of fuck-it attitude we’ve come to expect from Weekend Nachos. If they could follow that up with an album and call it We Felt Like Recording Songs Again that would be perfect.

The mini-tour will have support from Vermin Womb, Sissy Spacek, and Backslider and includes appearances at the NW Terror Fest in Seattle and the Maryland Death Fest in Baltimore. These dates are in addition to the previously announced appearances at Tied Down in Detroit in June and Sound & Fury in Los Angeles in July. Check out the full list of tour dates below.

The two dates at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn come as somewhat of a surprise since it’s only been a week since the venue was shut down in the midst of a live show by the New York Department of Buildings for some occupancy violations. Saint Vitus issued a statement earlier in the week that they were moving immediate upcoming shows to other venues, but it seems likely that the venue will be back up and running in time for the two Weekend Nachos shows in May. If not, then you can look forward to seeing Weekend Nachos playing the alley out behind Saint Vitus on May 25 & 26.
