Lamb of God’s John Campbell Says a New Record is ‘Definitely’ Coming By 2029

0

We may be nearly two years removed from Lamb of God‘s latest album Omens, but that doesn’t mean the band’s done putting out new music. On the contrary, we could be getting some new tunes, we’re just going to have to wait for them a bit longer.

During a recent interview with the RRBG Podcast (transcribed by Blabbermouth), Lamb of God bassist John Campbell said the plan following Omens’ release is pretty much the same as all their previous releases. And that means there’s going to be even more touring on the docket before any new music hits.

“We’re gonna put out some records on the same rough schedule that we always do. We put out a record, tour the shit out of it, take a little time back, start working on another one, record it, tour the shit out of it. So, yeah, there’s definitely — we are still alive and kicking, and there will be more records. In the next five years, there will definitely be a new Lamb Of God record. I don’t think I’m giving away any secrets with that.”

Lamb of God’s been on tour a lot lately, with a crazy exciting run through North America coming this summer with Mastodon and Kerry King’s solo band. Mastodon and Lamb of God will be playing the entirety of Leviathan and Ashes of the Wake, respectively so you don’t want to miss out.
