Kanye West Used an Unauthorized Black Sabbath Sample and Ozzy’s PISSED

Rapper and notable bag of shit Kanye West is in hot water with metal’s favorite granddad Ozzy Osbourne, as he apparently used a live clip of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” while promoting his new album despite being told not to.

The incident happened last night when West, also known as Ye, was hosting a listening party with Ty Dolla Sign for their collaborative new album Vultures. According to Osbourne, the apparent Burzum fan requested permission to use the clip of a 1983 performance of “Iron Man,” but was explicitly denied. Even though he was apparently told not to use the clip, West went ahead and did it anyway.

Now, that would be enough grounds for an artist to be furious, but Ozzy’s got even more reason to be pissed off about, given West’s apparent adoration of Adolf Hitler and Nazis in general. West’s grossly dangerous, anti-Semitic rhetoric was blasted by Ozzy, who emphatically said in a tweet that he wanted “no association” with the man.

“[Kanye West] ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘IRON MAN’ FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!”

This isn’t the first time West has dipped his toe in the metal world with some controversy attached to it. Just a couple weeks ago, he was photographed wearing a Burzum shirt, which led to Varg commending the rapper for his “courage.” Not only that, but Vultures uses an 1835 painting titled “Landscape With Graves” by German artist and Nazi favorite Caspar David Friedrich. We’re kinda sensing a theme here.

Ozzy’s tweet condemning West’s use of the song has naturally led the rapper’s delusional/racist/disgusting online dickriders to come out of the woodwork, bashing Ozzy and posting an image of the metal icon and his wife Sharon Osbourne dressed as the rapper and his current wife Bianca Censori. Not exactly sure how that’s supposed to be a “gotcha” moment or something, but it’s the internet and it’s full of fucking idiots.

So on top of being a racist piece of shit, Kanye doesn’t care about artists’ rights either. Got it.
