Life of Agony’s Alan Robert Has an Official Beetlejuice Coloring Book You Can Buy with Money
Thirty-six years ago, a little indie film titled Beetlejuice changed the cinematic landscape forever. Actors Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, Geena Davis, and Alec Baldwin performed their asses off in a tour de force of cinematic mastery the world hasn’t seen since and to celebrate that feat of cinematic splendor, Life of Agony bassist and illustrator Alan Robert has committed that excellence in the world’s greatest medium — the coloring book.
Seen above holding the fruits of his labor, Beetlejuice: The Official Coloring Book boasts more than 60 pages of custom art featuring the eponymous undead spectre and the zany avant-garde scenes and scenery from director Tim Burton’s film. The only thing it needs is your time, attention, and a box of Crayons.
“The brilliance of Beetlejuice made a giant impact on me as a teenager, and I’ve seen it a gazillion times since then, including recently with my own teenage daughter. I know every line by heart. So to be able to bring the ‘ghost with the most’ alive for generations of coloring fans was a huge honor for me. I’ve included a ton of little details in there that die hard fans of the film will definitely appreciate!”
Truly, a product of love by a superfan that could only be birthed into the world through a collaboration with Warner Bros., while publisher Insight Editions and distributor Simon & Schuster further helped push things along. And with a mere seven months before its release this September, you can pre-order yourself a copy today. Even better, you can check out some preview images directly from the final product right now!
