Autopsy, Gatecreeper, Morbikon Among Final 19 Bands Added to Milwaukee MetalFest
It’s a sad state of affairs, but when it comes to huge metal festivals, Europe simply has the U.S. beat. From Wacken to Hellfest and everything in between, our friends across the pond beat the piss out of us in that regard. Yet thanks to the revitalization of Milwaukee MetalFest, we’re taking steps in the right direction — especially now that its lineup’s been finalized.
Earlier today, organizers announced that they’d added another 19 bands to the already huge list of bands performing from May 16 to May 19 at The Rave/Eagles Club. The new class of bands include: Municipal Waste, Autopsy, Terrorizer, Macabre, Nunslaughter, Gatecreeper, Skeletal Remains, Creeping Death, Upon Stone, Stabbing, Monochromatic Black, Deathray Vision, Backlash, Bewitcher, Morbikon, Dead By Wednesday, Engineered Society Project, Hatriot, and Time To Kill.
Hatebreed frontman and Milwaukee MetalFest co-organizer Jamey Jasta said the inclusion of those bands fleshes out an already stacked lineup that looks to the future while remembering the fest’s past.
“We’re beyond excited to welcome such a stellar crop of new additions to the fest; Autopsy played the third edition of MMF thirty five years ago, to have them back is truly special and you can’t have Milwaukee Metal Fest without Macabre! I speak for our entire MMF team that now is the time to start building up tomorrow’s headliners. Additions like Upon Stone, Lords Of The Trident, Stabbing, Monochromatic Black, etc. are all great examples of the talent & passion that is out there that some of us will get to see for the first time in Milwaukee”

In addition to the main three days, the fest also has a pre-party set up for that Thursday, May 16. Free to anyone with a three-day pass to the fest, the event will feature a special Jasta and Friends set, along with Toxic Ruin and H1Z1.
