Paul Riedl and Erika Osterhout Have Ultimate Metal Wedding
In what has to be one of the most metal ceremonies of all time, the metal power couple that is Paul Riedl and Erika Osterhout just got married.
While the ceremony was small and modest, what made the pairing so epic was the officiant: Christ Reifert of Autopsy fame. If that’s not every metal power couple’s dream wedding, I don’t know what is.
Reifert was an especially fitting person to perform the ceremony, as Riedl is best known for his work with Blood Incantation, and Osterhout is lauded for her roles with Chthonic Deity, Mortuous, and Acephalix, all especially heavy and classicly influenced death metal bands.
Riedl says on social media about the ceremony:
“One of the best days of our lives happened last week! After 7 years together, we were officially wed in a private ceremony by none other than Mr. Chris Reifert! Thanks to everyone who has reached out to us in the past few days, we love you all!”
We can’t get enough of the futuristic space outfits they wore to the ceremony, not surprising given Riedl’s affinity for space and aliens.
Cosmic death metal outfit Blood Incantation released their epic offering Luminescent Bridge, a 12-inch maxi single, via Century Media last year. The release has an epic metal track on Side A and an instrumental track on Side B.
Osterhout made headlines last year when she joined Mortuous, bringing her own blend of death metal bass style to the band. Both are lauded in the extreme metal community.
We hope both musicians release more rippers soon, and we also wish them all the happiness.
