Rotting Christ Announce New Album and Latin American Tour
Greek gothic black metal outfit Rotting Christ are gearing up for a big 2024, as they not only just announced a new album titled ΠΡΟ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΥ (Pro Xristoy), but also a 17-date tour through Latin America.
Set for release on May 24, ΠΡΟ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΥ (Pro Xristoy) is their 14th studio album, their follow up to 2019’s The Heretics, and marks their 35th anniversary as a band. According to Sakis Tolis, the album “[pays] tribute to the last of the Pagan kings.”
“This album was inspired by the might of ancient pagan wisdom. It’s a tribute to those who resisted the coming of Christianity, which destroyed all the values, traditions and knowledge of the ancient world.”
Running for just over 55 minutes, the new album features 10 brand new songs, along with two additional bonus tracks that should satiate any Rotting Christ fan’s thirst for new tunes. The full tracklist and album art — as well as Latin American tour dates — can be seen below.
ΠΡΟ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΥ (Pro Xristoy) will be released on May 24 via Season Of Mist. Preorders will go live sometime next month.
