Bonginator On Tour, Announce Signing with Testimony Records
Last year was seemingly a good one for Massachusetts-based death metal outfit Bonginator, having released their debut LP The Intergalactic Gorebong of Deathpot and being featured on MetalSucks on 4/20. You can be the judge which one was more important.
But earlier today, they announced that 2024 is full of new beginnings and kick ass shows, as they not only announced that they’re the latest band to join Testimony Records, but they’ve got nearly a dozen shows going on this month.
The tour, which kicked off yesterday in Cambridge, Massachuesetts, will run until January 14 when they smash through Memphis, Tennessee. Coming along with them are Frog Mallet and Body Farm. Naturally, you can find the full list of dates and links to get tickets below.
As for their joining Testimony Records, frontman Erik Thorstenn said the band was excited that they were starting 2024 with this new chapter in their journey to death metal dominance.
“We are stoned… I mean uh… stoked to announce our signing with Testimony Records and SPKR! We are looking forward to continuing that relationship forged in pot smoke. You guys can expect a lot more room temperature IQ death metal emerging from our stoned haze in the coming years, and Testimony will do their part by creating and distributing the dopest CDs, vinyls, tapes, and whatever else folks have the munchies for.
“We’re also trying to get them to let us have our own weed. We’ll keep you posted. We are also extremely excited to see what this does for our worldwide audience of stoners. We believe the future for Bonginator is looking very dank and we can’t wait to see where this signing takes us. Expect more music, more shows in more places, and of course more weed. Anyway – we’re gonna take another rip from this gravity bong that I built using a beer keg and a pool noodle and then get back to work… want to try it?”

Testimony Records label manager Thomas Strater also chimed in about Bonginator’s addition to their stable of acts.
