Painface Announce First Show in 24 Years

0

Original Slipknot vocalist Anders Colsefni’s band Painface recently announced they’re making their return back to the stage with their first show in more than two decades.

Originally formed back in 1998, the band broke the news that they plan to play a show on January 27 at the Patio Nightclub in Las Vegas, NV.

As usual, current Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor is a supporter of the former vocalist’s band and has shouted out the show on social media.

“Hope to see everyone at this show on Jan 27! It’ll be great to have my friends Anders Colsefni and Painface in Vegas with The Darkest Day! Gonna be wild!”

For those not familiar, Painface dropped their debut album, Fleshcraft, in 1998, then the On A Pale Horse EP in 2000 and Skullcrusher in 2013. So it’s been a minute, but the band appear to be back. And this isn’t the first we’ve seen of Colsefni recently. He also recently toured Australia playing Slipknot’s 1996 album Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., for which Taylor also gave his blessing. We posted a video of one of those recent shows below.

All of this begs a couple of questions. First and foremost, does Painface have new music in the works since they’re getting back together to play a show? There’s also been talk for years about Colsefni rejoining Slipknot in some capacity. After all, he’s made it clear that he would rejoin the band in some way if given the chance, and it’s not like Slipknot limit the roles in their band to one per instrument. But as of now, there is no word on anything beyond this one-off show.
