Unto Others (Formerly Idle Hands) Joins Century Media, Has New Music in the Works
Goth rockers from the Pacific northwest Unto Others have a lot to look forward to in the coming months, as not only are they in the studio working on their follow up to 2021’s Strength, but they’ve also made a major move in signing with Century Media Records and eyeing potential tour dates.
In a social media post yesterday, the band explained their excitement at joining Century Media, saying they appreciated the artistic control they retain while working with that label.
“Century Media is a well established, professional and highly respected label that has graciously given us free artistic reign over our music, enabling a beautiful progression from our last album into this one.
“You can expect a slew of new music from us in 2024 and touring dates in USA, Europe, UK and wherever we can get as soon as we can get. We are happy to get out in front of you all in the coming year with a world class label and team at our backs.”
Ever since the release of their last album, the band has boasted some pretty cool moments, including touring with King Diamond, Arch Enemy and Behemoth. Now, as they work with producer Tom Dalgety on the new record, Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter said the label was excited to see what comes next from Unto Others.
“We’ve been fans of Unto Others from their earliest recordings. Their sound and presence are unlike anything on the current rock and metal landscape – it’s as heartfelt and evocative as it is totally badass.”
Since it’s gonna be a minute before we hear whatever new shit they’ve got brewing, all Unto Others fans can do right now is wait and daydream for the 2024 and beyond that’s coming.
