Health to Release a New Album Rat Wars on Dec. 7, Drop First Two Singles

0

Industrial noise rock band Health just announced they’re jumping back into the spotlight with a brand new album titled Rat Wars. Described by the band as “The Downward Spiral for people with at least two monitors and a vitamin D deficiency,” the album is slated for a December 7 release via Loma Vista Recordings.

To celebrate the announcement of their follow up to 2019’s VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR, the band dropped two singles: “Children of Sorrow” and “Sicko,” both of which you can check out below. In the first single, Lamb of God’s Willie Adler provides some additional guitar-based malice to the already dark track, while “Sicko” uses samples of Godflesh’s “Like Rats” to create what the band called its “half-time hellscape.”

In addition to the new album announcement and single drops, the band also announced a full-album listening party set set for tomorrow at Los Angeles’ Das Bunker. Furthermore, Health also have a 2024 headlining tour planned with Pixel Grip and King Yosef offering support on each date. The tour will kick off on March 2 in Ventura, California and come to a stop on April 4 in Los Angeles.

Rat Wars will be released on December 7 via Loma Vista Recordings, but you can preorder your copy today.
