Red Fang Forced to Cancel September Dates Due to Family Emergency
Canadian fans of stoner metal stalwarts Red Fang are likely to be very disappointed today, as the band announced that three of their upcoming shows in the “Great White North” won’t be happening after all.
According to a post on the band’s social media accounts, an unforeseen family emergency is forcing the band to cut three shows in the province of British Columbia. The band said they were equally as bummed out having to announce the cancellations, stating that “if there was any way we could manage to play those shows we would.”
Although the band said all of their upcoming performances this month were getting the axe, there are two exceptions to that rule. The band said they will still perform on September 16 at R-Day in Georgetown, Washington State and on September 22 in Nelson, British Columbia. The latter date will apparently have an “updated lineup” in order to make that show a possibility.
Looking at their schedule, that means the other three dates from September 19 to September 21 are no longer happening. There’s no official information at this time as to what you should do if you already have a ticket to these shows, so you should probably reach out to either the venue or the point of sale to see about getting any refunds.
As for what’s going to go on with supporting acts Dead Quiet, Bloodrhine, and Pharm, nothing has been announced regarding potential make up dates or alternate venues.
We hope everything’s alright with the dudes in Red Fang and their families.
