Original Slipknot Vocalist is Open to Working with His Former Band
Today in obvious statements: original Slipknot vocalist Anders Colsefni has said that he is open to working with his former band if the opportunity were ever to present itself. The former ‘Knot vocalist appeared on Kaosis‘ vocalist Xen’s podcast, where he was asked if he would still be interested (h/t Blabbermouth):
“Yeah, absolutely. If they contacted me and wanted me to do something, yeah, why not?”
Naturally, Xen asked Colsefni if he has a favorite song with the band’s longtime vocalist, Corey Taylor. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Colsefni also prefers the old stuff.
“To be honest with you, I’m gonna say ‘Wait And Bleed’, the very first one that hit right after I left. And it’s the one that I would have thought that I would have hated the most, just because of my circumstances. But that song, when I heard it, I’m, like, ‘That’s it. I couldn’t have done that like that. So kudos to you, guys.’ So ‘Wait And Bleed’.”
Colsefni will head over to Australia and New Zealand to knock out a number of dates on the Numetal Mayhem tour, which also features former Mushroom head vocalist Waylon Reavis performing hits from that band plus his other project, A Killer’s Confession. Colsefni will perform Slipknot’s debut, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. album in its entirety. Taylor has endorsed the performances.
The tour will take place in October and hit just about every possible region over the course of two weeks.
