Check Out Ben Weinman, Ryan “Legs” Leger, Tony Hawk, and More Covering Nine Inch Nails

You may not know this, but that dude with all those skateboarding video games Tony Hawk apparently knows how to carry a tune. After years of risking life and limb to pull off some sick shit on a skateboard, he’s found a new adrenaline rush by occasionally getting behind the mic and belting out some of his favorite tunes.

We’ve already seen him sing the Dead Kennedys classic “Police Truck” with a cover band dedicated to his video games, he’s already covered Millencolin’s “No Cigar” (also from one of his games), and he was featured in The Masked Singer a while ago. So suffice it to say, the guy likes taking risks in front of a crowd.

This time around, he’s linked back up with Fairmounts frontman Mikey Hawdon and his channel Mikey and His Uke for yet another cover, only this time the lineup is different and features another set of heavy hitters. To help get their version of “Wish” out to the masses, Hawdon and Hawk recruited Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Suicidal Tendencies, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra), bassist Brad Magers (The Bronx, Mariachi El Bronx), keyboardist Kat Lucas (stormylovechild, ex-P!nk), and drummer Ryan “Legs” Leger (ex-Every Time I Die, ex-Norma Jean, ex-The Salads).

It’s a cool video, once again featuring Hawk on a skateboard singing along to the track. It’s fun, albeit a little nerve wracking as a dude that decidedly can’t skateboard at all. How the hell does he not immediately faceplant when he looks away from where he’s going?! I would have broken my face on the pavement in seconds.

You can check out the cover below. And who knows, maybe Hawk is trying to pursue a rock career?
