Spiritbox Enter “The Void” With Their Latest Single
After taking some new music out on the road with them for the last week, Canadian alt-metal quartet Spiritbox finally dropped the studio version of “The Void.” Fans at the first few shows of their Eternal Blue Tour already got to hear the song for themselves, but this is the first piece of new music expected from the band in the near future.
Featuring the band’s signature sound, “The Void” also seems to sound unlike anything they’ve put out in the past. This is also the first time they’ve released new music since they put out the Rotoscope EP last June. Vocalist Courtney LaPlante said the song’s creation came naturally.
“‘The Void’ is a song that came about very quickly. I didn’t have to fight with anything to write it, and when that happens, I don’t argue with it. It’s a type of song that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time, I’ve heard it hundreds of times now, and it makes me so happy every time I hear it. It’s been such an amazing experience playing this song on our tour, and watching people hear it for the first time, in real time.”
The band is currently on their first headlining tour with support from The Burial and Intervals. You can get tickets for those dates today. A full list of dates and venues can be found below the video.
