Guns N’ Roses Allegedly Recorded Music with Rapper Eazy-E
When legendary rapper Eazy-E—best known for his work with seminal West Coast gangsta rap group N.W.A.—died at age 30 in 1995, the genre lost one of its key figures. His legacy lives on via popular media and his son, Little Eazy-E, who just released a new collaborative album with ’90s rapper Daz Dillinger. At the release party for that album, The Legacy, hip-hop manager Arnold “Bigg A” White—who works with Lil Eazy—told Rock the Bells that there is unreleased Eazy-E music out there and that some of it is a collaboration with Guns N’ Roses.
“There is unreleased music still out there. We know for a fact that he had two or three or four reels in his car when he went to the hospital. Those reels came up missing. He had songs with Slash from Guns n’ Roses — he had songs with Guns n’ Roses on those reels. Those reels have been found ’cause they wound up in Canada. That’s a whole other story, but what happened to them [since], I don’t know. I don’t know if the estate got them, but there is unreleased music, and [DJ] Yella has some, I know for a fact that there is some unreleased a capella vocals, that he was working on some records with a couple of producers I worked with and last I heard was that they were up in [Dr.] Dre’s studio.”
That’s a pretty big claim, but stranger things have happened than rappers collaborating with rock artists, especially given the mainstream popularity of both artists.
In confirmed Guns N’ Roses news, the reunited American rock icons will perform at Power Trip alongside five other legendary rock and metal bands.
