Ov Sulfur Taps Slaughter to Prevail’s Alex Terrible for “Befouler”

0

Get ready to have your respective genitalia kicked in, because blackened deathcore act Ov Sulfur are releasing their debut full-length album next month and their latest single “Befouler” not only kicks ass, but it included the ungodly vocal talents of one Alex Terrible.

Featured on their upcoming album The Burden Ov Faith, “Befouler” pops off and doesn’t let up. Coupled with a really cool looking animated video, the song takes another major turn around the 2:50 mark when things slow down and get get heavier than all hell, thanks in part to Terrible’s insane vocals.

Ov Sulfur’s vocalist Ricky Hoover said the single focuses on “real-life heretics” that basically lie to your face.

“Breaking away from our constant blasphemy, ‘Befouler’ focuses on real-life heretics who say one thing to your face but believe another. They use this false front as a pathetic defense to slowly plot your demise. This type of life became foreign to me in my years away from the music industry, but it seems the more you’re in the public eye, the more you face dissenters and weaklings. I’ve made so many great friends through the industry, but this one is a middle finger to those who are too cowardly to even spit in your face because they only open their mouth while hiding theirs.”

This single is the band’s fifth release in support of The Burden Ov Faith, which will be available via Century Media Records on March 24. You can preorder your copy today, with the band offering various different versions, including multiple different color vinyl variants.

Ov Sulfur is going on tour later this month with a range of different acts, including Chelsea Grin, Carnifex, Left to Suffer, Bleeding Through, and Saltwound. Which bands will be playing depends on the date, so be sure to check out the full list below to see when they’re coming to your town and who else will be there.
