Classic Concert of the Day: Twisted Sister in ‘A Twisted X-Mas: Live In Las Vegas 2011’
There was next to no chance we weren’t going to post this on the Christmas Day edition of Classic Concert of the Day. Almost as soon as you hit play and the show starts, you’ll understand why — the Dee-Snider-dressed-as-Santa bit, the sleazy use of female dancers on the side of the stage, the fact that the rest of Twisted Sister looks like they’d be better fit to play a dive bar than Vegas… it’s too perfect.
It also helps that Dee Snider is a fucking professional. The dude’s vocals are always on point and his showmanship in this week’s concert is great. Dude knows how to ham it up when he needs to one minute and then knows how to put his foot down and deliver the goods the next.
Twisted Sister aren’t the only metal band to pay tribute to the holidays, but the full concert below is a perfect example of what Christmas songs could be.
