New Deicide Album is Officially in Pre-Production
Fans of Florida death metal titans Deicide, rejoice. You’re now one step closer to getting new jams, thanks to the recent announcement that the band’s 13th studio effort is now officially in pre-production.
We now know this thanks to an Instagram post made yesterday by guitarist Taylor Nordberg, who shared a photo of his guitar and studio setup at Smoke and Mirrors Productions in Spring Hill, Florida.
Once completed, this new and yet unnamed studio album would be the first full-length release since 2018’s Overtures of Blasphemy. Now, whether it will actually be “progressive” and “anthemic” like Decide bassist and vocalist Glen Benton told The Garza Podcast earlier this year, remains to be seen. We do know that the music was at least “written last year” just prior to the band’s decision to go on a 30th anniversary tour for Legion.
While you wait for the new album, why not get your hands on a truly special box set featuring the band’s run with Roadrunner Records. Featuring nine LPs and spanning more than a decade of the band’s history, The Roadrunner Years. This box set features some never before released vinyl pressings and is the kind of monstrosity that your metalhead friends will drool over.
