You’re Gonna Want to Pick Up This Limited Edition Vinyl Box Set of Fear Factory’s Soul of a New Machine
For more than 30 years, Fear Factory has been considered to be one of the most important industrial metal acts of all time. With records like Demanufacture epitomizing the sound of the ’90s and its follow up Obsolete also highly regarded for tearing shit up, it’s no wonder that Fear Factory is touted as a pioneer in the genre.
And while those two records catapulted the Los Angeles-based four-piece into the stratosphere, it was their 1992 release Soul of a New Machine that got things off the ground and kick started a multi-record storyline of man and machine melding as one that spanned multiple albums. Technically their second studio effort, it was their first with Roadrunner Records, the beginning of a 10 album run, and evidence that the band was built on a death metal core that was not to be trifled with.
Now, just three decades since its original release, we at MetalSucks are teaming up with Gimme Metal to offer a limited 30th anniversary edition of Soul of a New Machine. Packed to the brim with three LPs, alternate mixes, and an exclusive poster, this special box set is a sonic reminder that Fear Factory was immediately poised to burst out onto the scene right from the start.
But remember — our collaboration with Gimme Metal gave us access to a limited number of units, so once these bad boys go, they’re gone. And at $59.99, this box set is expected to fly off our digital shelves and into your vinyl collections. What we’re trying to say is our stock is limited, it’s priced to sell, and you might as well get your mitts on a copy.
While you’re at it, take a minute and have a gander at the MetalSucks collection over at Gimme Metal. Once there, you can pick up exclusive MetalSucks merch, t-shirts, and music releases that we hand select each week as part of our Shit That Comes Out Today series.
