Meshuggah’s “I Am That Thirst” Music Video Features Cheesy Effects, Band Reveals Rereleases of Koloss and Nothing
Remember that moment in that Avengers movie where the purple dude with a scrote for a chin snaps his fingers and makes half of the universe disintegrate? Imagine that scene, just with a bunch of unwitting extras staring off into the distance and turning into pixelated dust rendered by a Nintendo 64.
That’s pretty much what you get with the music video for Meshuggah’s “I Am That Thirst.” There’s some random dino/dragon dude powering up like a Dragonball Z character, some random energy orbs flying around the planet but not doing anything… It’s honestly all just disjointed and weird.
That’s not to say anything about the song though. That part is still chuggy, heavy goodness — as is expected from Meshuggah. You can check out the clip below.
Along with the new video, Meshuggah announced that they were going to be releasing limited vinyl anniversary editions of Nothing and Koloss on November 25 via Atomic Fire. These special versions of Nothing and Koloss will only have 500 copies available worldwide, so be sure to preorder them at their respective websites. (Nothing preorder and Koloss preorder) can be preordered on their respective sites.
According to the band, they released this kinda funny music video to celebrate tonight’s kick off of their tour with Converge and Torche, with later dates featuring In Flames instead of Converge.
