Suicide Silence’s New Single Reminds You of Your Mortality with “You Must Die”
Ah, time’s unending march towards oblivion. We metalheads know the subject all too well. But in case you’ve forgotten, deathcore band Suicide Silence is here to remind you with their new single and music video that “You Must Die.”
As the first single off their forthcoming album Remember…You Must Die, Suicide Silence are back again with the aforementioned punishing track. Though the song is currently only available on digital platforms at the moment, the band will be premiering a music video at 1 p.m. EST.
Ahead of the video’s release, Suicide Silence said the long and winding path through life served as an inspiration for the song.
“’You Must Die’ reminds us that time is merciless. Every second the clock ticks we grow closer to death and what happens after our short bout with time is a total mystery. ‘You Must Die’ was written as a reminder to remember death and to not let time be our master.”
Set for release during the first quarter of 2023, Remember…You Must Die was produced by Taylor Young (NAILS, Xibalba, Vitriol, etc.), with artwork provided by Necrosurrealist artist David Van Gough.
You can listen to the single below and catch the video once that goes live as well.
