Alice In Chains and Breaking Benjamin Announce U.S. Co-Headlining Tour, Bush to Open
We obviously love Alice In Chains, what with them being one of grunge’s heaviest and weirdest acts. And we only know that one song by Breaking Benjamin, but we know they’re very popular, so hey, good for them. Now, it appears that both bands will be embarking on a U.S. co-headlining tour, with Bush to open.
The trek will WAAAAIT a minute, Bush are opening for Breaking Benjamin? Damn, remember how huge Bush were? Dude used to be married to Gwen Stefani! I mean, it’s happened before, but still, the only interview I ever remember reading with Breaking Benjamin was from right when they came out, where they shat on hair metal and talked about how they were influenced by grunge and alternative. Gotta be nuts having the kids you experienced headline over you.
Anyway, Alice In Chains’ Sean Kinney said the following:
“We’re looking forward to finally hitting the road again this summer. It’s been too long and we can’t wait to get outdoors and share a night of music with our fans again.”
Meanwhile, Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin had this to say:
“We are so extremely excited to be hitting the road with Alice In Chains and Bush. It’s such an honor to share the stage with such amazing bands that we grew up listening to and have influenced us so very much! We can’t wait to see you all out there!!”
