Crazy Lixx Chronicle the Hardships of Working Out With No Bra in “Rise Above”
Swedish glam metal revivalists Crazy Lixx have released a new single, “Rise Above.” True to the band’s love of all things ’80s, the accompanying music video is some performance footage mixed with lots and lots (and lots and lots and lots) of T&A. Specifically, an attractive young woman models a variety of flattering workout clothes in what I can only assume was a very cold room.
What the shit does a softcore faux Jane Fonda workout video have to do with the song? I think the lyrics speak for themselves…
To the rhythm of thunder – To the sound of the raging fire
We’re born to rise above
To the rhythm of thunder – In the face of the greatest power
We’re born to rise above
…and by “I think the lyrics speak for themselves,” I mean “the contents of the music video have nothing to do with the song, the band is just trying to get attention.” And you’re reading this, so, hey, it worked!
Watch the “Rise Above” video below. It will appear on Crazy Lixx’s new album, Street Lethal, which is out November 5 on Frontiers. Pre-order it here.
