Hypocrisy Sedate the Masses on New Single, “Dead World”
“Dead World,” the second single from Hypocrisy’s new album, Worship — their first new music in eight years — went up at the stroke of midnight last night. You can give it a whirl below.
Unlike the previous single, “Chemical Whore,” this one doesn’t arrive with a lyric video, nor has a press release been sent out yet, so I can’t tell you much about the lyrical nature of the song (I’m terrible at deciphering death growls… sorry), but from what I can gather it’s generally about government control of the masses. So kind of the other side of the same coin tackled in “Chemical Whore,” but without the dubious possible anti-vax vibe (given, these songs may have been written years ago).
Musically, it’s trademark Hypocrisy. You know ’em, you love ’em. Classic melodeath.
Give “Dead World” a spin below. Worship comes out in November.
