Officially Official: New Guns N’ Roses Single “Hard Skool” Coming Tomorrow
Update: Fans in certain parts of the world can hear the song now (below). Everyone else has to wait another twelve hours or so.
This is not at all surprising, given all the recent hubbub, but for some of us, at least, it’s still exciting: Spotify has officially confirmed that Guns N’ Roses will release a new single, the unfortunately-titled “Hard Skool,” tomorrow, September 24.
This being the case, it seems like a safe bet that the band will finally give the track its live debut at tonight’s show in Columbus, OH.
Both “Hard Skool” and “Absurd,” the new song the band released last month, were originally written for, but not included on, 2008’s Chinese Democracy. They’ve since been reworked to be more appropriate for Slash and Duff McKagan, who both returned to the fold in 2016 after 20+ years away. Unlike “Absurd” (which was once known as “Silkworms”), “Hard Skool” (once known as “Jackie Chan”) has never been played live by any version of the band.
