Video: Soulfly Perform Fear Factory’s “Replica” with Dino Cazares on Guitar
Soulfly have been on the road with Fear Factory axeman Dino Cazares on guitar, replacing Marc Rizzo, who recently parted ways with the band after eighteen years under very dramatic circumstances. Fan-filmed live footage of the band performing Fear Factory’s 1995 hit “Replica” (from their Demanufacture album) has now surfaced. You can watch that clip, which was filmed on August 26 at Red Flag in St Louis, MO, below.
After being ousted from Soulfly earlier this summer, Rizzo claimed that Soulfly did nothing to help support the band members or their crew during the pandemic. Soulfly allege that Rizzo simply failed to take advantage of government programs set up to help people financially during the lockdown. Public records show that both Max Cavalera and his son, Soulfly drummer Zyon Cavalera, received PPP loans as independent contractors, lending credence to their argument.
Cazares recently announced that Fear Factory have found their new singer after frontman Burton Seabell left last year. They’ll also release an instrumental version of their new album, Aggression Continuum — which was recorded with Seabell back in 2017 and includes his vocals — in September.
