Marilyn Manson to Appear on Kanye West’s New Album

This week, Marilyn Manson has made his first public appearance since the avalanche of abuse accusations leveled against him earlier this year, appearing on stage with Kanye West at a release party show for the rapper’s new album.

The event for Donda, named after West’s late mother, took place at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The stage was built as a recreation of his childhood home and featured Manson (along with Rapper DaBaby, who recently faced backlash over homophobic comments he made earlier this summer) standing on the “porch” for the duration of the event.

A rep for the shock rocker has now confirmed to Newsweek that Manson was at the Donda event because he appears on the album:

“Marilyn Manson’s voice is featured on Donda, and he will continue to conceptually collaborate with Ye on the Donda project.” 

In July,  Manson turned himself into authorities to face two misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an August 2019 during which the shock rocker allegedly spit on a videographer. Manson was subsequently released on personal recognizance bail, under the conditions that he cannot commit any crimes while on release, he cannot have any contact with the alleged victim, and he must appear at all of his court hearings.

Donda is scheduled for release on September 3.
