Marilyn Manson Wants Charges Against Him Tossed Out of Court, Claims He’s the Victim of a Conspiracy
Marilyn Manson continues to claim he’s innocent of the avalanche of abuse accusations leveled against him this year by a myriad of ex-girlfriends and associates: According to USA Today, Manson’s attorney, Howard E. King, submitted a court filing yesterday, July 28, seeking to dismiss charges brought against the singer by Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco.
In April, Bianco filed a suit against the shock rocker and his former manager of 25 years, Tony Ciulla. Said suit alleges that Manson (né Brian Warner) “used drugs, force, and threats of force to coerce sexual acts from Ms. Bianco on multiple occasions,” “committed sexual acts” with her while she was unconscious or unable to consent, and sexually battered her, “spanking, biting, cutting, and whipping Ms. Bianco’s buttocks, breasts, and genitals… all without the consent of Plaintiff.”
Additionally, Bianco claims that Manson and Ciulla “violated the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act” by “bringing her from London to Los Angeles under the pretense that she would be acting in a music video that never came out and a film that was never made.”
According to Manson’s counter-suit, Bianco has exceeded California’s statute of limitations for initiating legal proceedings, and her case should therefore be tossed out.
More importantly, the suit claims that the allegations are “untrue, meritless, and a key component of a coordinated attack” by “co-conspirators” such as Bianco and, presumably, the three other women currently suing Manson on similar grounds.
Manson’s counter-suit alleges that these women are “cynically and dishonestly seeking to monetize and exploit the #MeToo movement” by “desperately trying to conflate the imagery and artistry of Warner’s ‘shock rock’ stage persona, ‘Marilyn Manson,’ with fabricated accounts of abuse” which they have “spent months plotting, workshopping, and fine-tuning.”
Bianco has yet to publicly comment on this latest development.
Earlier this month, Manson turned himself into authorities to face two misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an August 2019 during which the shock rocker allegedly spit on a videographer. Manson was subsequently released on personal recognizance bail, under the conditions that he cannot commit any crimes while on release, he cannot have any contact with the alleged victim, and he must appear at all of his court hearings.
