Metallica, Tool, Korn and More Pass 1 Billion Pandora Streams

In 2018, Pandora kicked off its ‘Billionaires’ program, recognizing artists by presenting them with a special plaque once they hit one billion streams on the platform. Pandora has bestowed the honor upon hundreds of artists over the past three years, and has now launched eight new genre stations based around Billionaire streamers.

While many of Pandora’s Billionaires are the usual suspects — Mariah Carey, Ed Sheeran, Lil Wayne and the like — a new Hard Rock Billionaires station honors the achievements of artists in metal, hard rock and adjacent genres.
