Iron Maiden Unveil “Belshazzar’s Feast” Video Teaser
Iron Maiden continue to run metal’s most unambiguous ambiguous viral PR campaign.
Starting late last month, the began to drop a series of clues that they were getting ready to premiere new music. That culminated with a video released this past weekend, in which singer Bruce Dickinson invited fans to “Belshazzar’s Feast.”
So long story short, we’re now all but certain that Iron Maiden’s new album is called Writing on the Wall, and that the first single, “Belshazzar’s Feast,” will be released this Thursday, July 15.
Further bolstering this practically-confirmed-theory is a new video from the band in which Eddie’s hand can be seen tearing the “Belshazzar’s Feast” promo art Maiden have been flaunting as of late, revealing the spray-painted initials “WOTW” — y’know, as in Writing on the Wall — beneath.
