Courtney Love Apologizes for Post Ripping Trent Reznor and Dave Grohl
Courtney Love has apologized — sort of — for a recent social media post in which she made various allegations against Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails).
In the post, shared this past Sunday, June 13, the Hole singer/songwriter slammed Grohl and Krist Novoselic — former Nirvana bandmates of her late husband, Kurt Cobain — implying that they took advantage of her grief over Cobain’s suicide in order to get her to sign away her rights to future Nirvana earnings. She also said she would now seek to undo that arrangement.
More unsettling were her accusations against Reznor: Love claimed that “I’ve never seen so much systemic abuse of kids, girls as young as 12, by him and his crew, we all (the members of Hole) witnessed it.”
Love deleted the post, but not before The PRP captured screen shots.
Love has now apologized “for my recent post” — but does not specifically apologize to, name, or retract her allegations against Reznor and Grohl.
You can read her latest below.
This is the not the first time Love has alleged Grohl of being a less-than-great guy: in 2012, she alleged that the Foo Fighters frontman had seduced her and Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Both Grohl and Frances Bean denied the claim.
“I need to apologize for my recent post. It was insensitive and it was wrong. No matter how I feel, there are real people behind my words and I need to learn to be more responsible with my words. I am truly sorry for those I’ve hurt. I will do better.”
