King Crimson’s Robert Fripp & Toyah Willcox Cover The Prodigy’s “Firestarter”
King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and his wife, the actress and singer Toyah Willcox, have unveiled the latest entry in their “Sunday Lunch” series of cover videos that have captured the Internet’s attention in recent months.
The duo’s latest video finds them covering The Prodigy’s 1996 breakout hit “Firestarter,” along with the masked special guest, Sidney Jake, who has joined in recent weeks. The clip sees Toyah donning a signature sheer top (this time in red, with matching body paint) and eye makeup in honor of the late Keith Flint, while Fripp sports eye makeup to match and a Lamb of God t-shirt (not sure what the connection is; is that the heaviest band shirt Fripp owns?). Toyah, meanwhile, bangs a pan hanging from the ceiling to accent the song’s beats. The video begins with a warning that “You are about to see our favourite kitchen trio as you have never seen them before AND IT CANNOT BE UNSEEN” and we are going to warn you with the same.
Previous entries in Fripp and Wilcox’s “Sunday Lunch” series include:
Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls”
