Halestorm Cover The Who’s “Long Live Rock”

Halestorm have released a cover of The Who’s 1974 hit, “Long Live Rock.” The song arrives in tandem with an upcoming documentary film, Long Live Rock… Celebrate the Chaos, which is scheduled for release in March.

Long Live Rock … Celebrate the Chaos, by filmmaker Jonathan McHugh and producer Gary Spivack (also of concert promoter Danny Wimmer Presents), takes a deep look at audiences at metal and rock festivals and what brings them together, something anyone reading this can surely relate to. The film features interviews with members of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Rob Zombie, and more, and performance footage of countless rock and metal acts doing their thing in front of an audience of tens of thousands.

Halestorm recently told MetalSucks that they have 60 songs written for their next album and have already hit the studio to begin recording them. Frontwoman Lzzy Hale also shared a funny story with us, recounting how Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider didn’t believe she was singing live so he asked the band’s sound guy to hear a direct feed of her vocal mix.
