There is Now a GameStop-Themed Metal Band, Master of Profit

Now that we know how the great GameStop run-up of 2021 story ends, how do we parse what happened? Did the stock never reach its intended height of $1,000 per share because Robinhood et al interfered, or was that always a pipe dream anyway? Could the whole thing still be called a success because of how it screwed hedge funds to start, or a failure because of how many individual investors lost money on the tail end?

While you mull that over, there is now a metal band dedicated entirely to GameStop, WallStreetBets and the like. Because of course there is.

The one-man band will release its debut EP in April, This Is Not Financial Advice, and has unveiled its first single, “deepF*****Gvalue,” along with an entertaining video.

Indeed, you did. Nicely done! I just hope you didn’t lose a bunch of money on it… and if you gained big, that you donated some or all of it to charity.
