Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Take You Behind-the-Scenes of Their Mank Scorer
A new video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ score for Mank. You can watch it below.
Now streaming on Netflix, Mank tells the story of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he wrote the screenplay for Citizen Kane and drank himself to death. It was directed by David Fincher (Alien 3). The Nine Inch Nails duo have scored all of Fincher’s features since 2010’s The Social Network, for which they won an Oscar.
Mank‘s screenplay is credited to Fincher’s late father, Jack Fincher, although screenwriter Eric Roth (The Postman) is rumored to have contributed to the script as well.
The film stars Gary Oldman (Lost in Space) in the title role, as well as Amanda Seyfried (As the World Turns), Charles Dance (The Golden Child), Lily Collins (Priest), and Arliss Howard (AfterMASH).
Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month. You can watch Reznor’s induction speech here.
