Gojira Announce Stream of Entire Hellfest 2019 Performance
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls: I was at Hellfest 2019, and I saw Gojira perform to 70,000-some-odd people on the main stage starting well after midnight. “Epic” couldn’t even close to describing the show, and that word is overused anyway. It was phenomenal, a coming home of sorts for France’s greatest metal exports. I friggin’ lost my mind during that set.
But you don’t have to take my word for it: the band will be streaming the entire show for a limited 72-hour window starting this Wednesday, November 18 at 3pm EST!
This won’t be the first time during the pandemic Gojira have streamed a previously unreleased live show: back in May they unveiled a performance in similar fashion filmed at the famed Red Rocks Amphiteater in 2017, and ho-lee-shit! It was one of those early pandemic moments that felt like a lifeline with seemingly everyone tuned in to the premiere.
You won’t want to miss this one. Set your calendar alerts right NOW!
Gojira rescheduled their summer 2020 tour with Deftones and Poppy to 2021; updated routing here.
