Listen to One of Two New Psycroptic Songs
Can I get a Kool-Aid Man-sized OH YEAH!?
Psycroptic, the heaviest thing to come out of Australia since Craig Kelly, have announced that they’ll release a new, two-song EP, The Watcher of All, next month…
…and you can listen to half of it now! Specifically, you can listen to the song “A Fragile Existence.” Unsurprisingly, it’s a most excellent tornado of razor blades and rage. I’m particularly stoked on the section that starts around 2:49, when an anguished-sounding chorus of women leap into the fray. Anger is sadness turned outward, y’know. So the melancholy flavoring on top of the animosity stew really adds a special something.
The other half of The Watcher of All is the title track, which I imagine we won’t hear before the release because if we did, well, y’know, there’d be nothing else to hear.
Check out “A Fragile Existence” via the below music video, which was directed by Wilson Bambrick. The Watcher of All is out November 27 via Prosthetic Records (digital) and Agonia Records (12″ vinyl). Pre-save it on digital here. Pre-order the 12″ vinyl and accompanying merch here.
