IREPRESS HAS A HARD-ON FOR THE GOONIES

…so much so that the instrumental jazzy post-metal outfit’s website/logo/branding uses the same font/tone as that of the graphic design of the classic 1985 action/adventure film. The portal to enter the band’s friggin’ website actually contains an image of the url printed on an old-school NES game cartridge, a la The Goonies.

Now that’s dedication!

Furthermore (and here’s the kicker) – Irepress has discovered the simultaneous joys of watching The Goonies DVD while listening to the band’s own debut full-length album Samus Octology (Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz-styles), and has proudly reconstructed the experience on its myspace page.

Happy accidental discovery or intentional symbiosis on the part of the band? You be the judge.
