Wolfgang Van Halen Shares Touching Childhood Photos with His Dad

Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen’s son and bass player in his dad’s (and uncle’s) namesake band since 2007, has been sharing photos of his childhood on social media of late. A mix of private family pics from his early years and later in life when he joined the band, most of them feature Wolfie and Eddie together, and some include Wolfie’s mom and Eddie’s ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli. The last two, most touching of all, show 1) Eddie jamming with his own dad, Eddie on piano, his dad on saxophone, and 2) a later-in-life interview clip of Eddie, when asked by a fan which deceased musician he’d play with if he could, answering after a long pause, “I’d love to jam with my father again.” The subtext is obvious. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
