Ozzy Osbourne’s Daughter, Aimée, Releases New Song, “House of Lies,”

Aimée Osbourne, the eldest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon, has released a new song called “House of Lies.” Working under the moniker of ARO (pronounced “arrow”), the track follows “Shared Something with the Night,” which she put out in July.

Aimée is the least-known member of the Osbourne clan, and that is by design: she didn’t participate in the family’s early ’00s hit reality show and has maintained a very private life since. Her forthcoming album, titled Vacare Adamare, represents a public unveiling of sorts for the first of the Osbourne offspring.

While the single Aimée released over the summer was heavy in nature, juxtaposing a symphonic sample with fuzzed out, wall-of-sound, distorted guitars, her latest is more in the electro-pop realm — almost synthwave — a morose, analogue keyboard line propelled by a pulsating drum beat and Aimee’s understated vocals. I’m feeling some serious Azar Swan vibes here, and I like it.

Aimée says “House Of Lies“ is “about feeling those ties to someone that you don’t particularly want to feel. And you tell yourself that they’re not there, but they very much are the same.”

The 36-year-old told New York City radio station Q104.3 last month of her decision not to participate in The Osbournes by moving out of the house, “To me, I’d grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and I always really valued my privacy within that family. For me personally, for who I am, as far as morally, and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as. It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically.”
