Spirit Adrift Drop New Single, “Harmony of the Spheres”

Spirit Adrift released Divided by Darkness just last year, one of my favorite albums of the year, but time is no enemy of creativity, especially in the time of corona: the doom/prog/psych outfit are already back with another album, Enlightened in Eternity, set for release in October.

The band, which recently slimmed down their lineup, have unveiled the album’s debut single, “Harmony of the Spheres.” I haven’t had a chance to dive into the lyrics yet (despite the single arriving with a lyric video… Fridays are chaotic and I have like 17 other new releases to get to today, sorry), but superficially speaking this is the one of those songs which has an onomatopoeiac title: it utilizes a ton of guitar harmonies (like much of Spirit Adrift’s music) and just sounds like a harmony of sphere, ya know? In other words: it rips.
