Veil of Maya’s Marc Okubo on The Quarantinecast #13
You’re quarantined, we’re quarantined, everyone’s quarantined, including all the metal musicians you love. In our new series, The MetalSucks Quarantinecast, we’re connecting with metal musicians in their homes to find out how they’re coping with isolation, how they’re staying busy during these trying times, and how the coronavirus pandemic has impacted their band’s plans.
In today’s episode we catch up with Veil of Maya guitarist and mastermind Marc Okubo. Marc tells us about the challenges of attempting to write Veil of Maya’s next album while under quarantine, what the eventual album will sound like, showing up to the first day of their spring tour with Dance Gavin Dance and Animals as Leaders to find out it was canceled entirely, the uncertainty surrounding that tour’s rescheduled dates later this summer and more.
