Neurosis Guitarist/Vocalist Steve Von Till Drops Haunting New Solo Track, “Dreams of Trees”

So as not to bury the lede, I’m just gonna drop this right here rather than a long-winded intro full of background info: “Dreams of Trees,” the latest solo track from Neurosis guitarist and vocalist Steve Von Till, is positively gorgeous. Atop a haunting backdrop of strings and piano, Von Till sounds like Nick Cave or latter-day Johnny Cash, his deep, powerful bellow capturing the full essence of his being. You’re gonna hit play, and you’ll be enraptured for all six-plus minutes, even the instrumental outro.

“Dreams of Trees” comes from No Wilderness Deep Enough, set to drop this summer along with Harvestman: 23 Untitled Poems and Collected Lyrics, his first published work of original poetry.
