Paradise Lost Premiere New Song “Ghosts”
The press release announcing the arrival of Paradise Lost’s new single, “Ghosts,” asserts that the track “is a guaranteed dancefloor-filler at any discerning goth nightclub.” I’d be hard-pressed to describe it much better. There actually is something oddly danceable about the song, even with all the metal accoutrements.
Says frontman Nick Holmes of the track:
“This song tips a cap to the goth rock music that was ubiquitous when we were teenagers. Even as young death metal fans, a lot of that old 80s music is still very much the soundtrack of our early lives. Lyrically it’s about being haunted by the past and a shallow belief in something you hope will destroy the demons.”
Check out “Ghosts” below. It will appear on Paradise Lost’s new album, Obsidian, which comes out May 15.
